Install Wine 1.3.3 in Ubuntu

It is available 1.3.3 version of Wine, an application that allows execution of Windows programs on GNU/Linux

This version brings following changes:
  • Improved support for right to left text
  • Support for CMYK JPEG images
  • Initial implementation of a browser game
  • Better support for 64 bit MSI
  • Control Panel Applet Stub inetcpl
  • A number of fixes to support crypto
  • Updated translations
  • Several bugs fixed
To install this version of Lucid, first add PPA repository and validated by opening a Terminal and typing:
  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install wine1.3
or upgrade if you already have PPA added to our sources:
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get upgrade
