PlayOnLinux 3.7.6, compatible with Ubuntu Lucid

PlayOnLinux is an application that allows us to run games and programs developed exclusively for Windows under Linux and get more out of Wine.

PlayOnLinux can be a springboard for many users who have not made leap to Linux because they needed a certain program and even a game.

Some features of PlayOnLinux :
  • It is not necessary to have a license to use Windows ® system PlayOnLinux.
  • PlayOnLinux program is based on Wine, and benefits of all possibilities, avoiding user to cope with its complexity and always exploiting some advanced features.

Some problems that may occur :
  • Lowest overall results in some cases (less smooth image, less detailed graphics, etc.)..
  • All games are not supported. However, you can use module installation manual.
The latest version 3.7.6 solves a compatibility problem with Ubuntu Lucid, which produced window was blocked when trying to install an application.

Debian Lenny
sudo wget -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

Arch Linux
Agrega el repositorio de acuerdo a tu arquitectura a tu archivo pacman.conf
