Sony confirms the gradual restoration of PSN



Sony Computer Entertainment officially announced today 15 May from Tokyo that both Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI) will begin from today phased restoration and regions of the PlayStation Network services and Qriocity.

Phased restoration, which will be conducted country by country, will start in America, to continue in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and finally, the Middle East.

The first phase recovery services United States and Europe include the following:
  • Logging on to the PlayStation Network services and Qriocity, and changing passwords online game for the PlayStation 3 and PSP.
  • Access to playback video content (if found on rental period) in the Video Store of PlayStation Store on PS3™, PSP™ and Media Go.
  • Access to Q Music Unlimited with current subscribers through PS3 and PC.
  • Access to services offered by third parties, as VidZone and MUBI.
  • Access to options for the 'Friends' for PS3, like the buddy list, chat, comparison of trophies, etc.
The company also said increased security measures PlayStation Network before opening to avoid problems like those suffered after the PlayStation Network attacks, Qriocity and SOE.
