This update includes many bug fixes and new features, including:
- Multianima class, which allows multiple copies of windows animations.
- Preview of minimized windows in vivo (this has nothing to do with the "fudge" that makes Windows Vista and 7).
- Plugin rewritten to group.
- Natural scale mode.
- Simplified storage of the shadow that is part of the decor.
- Easy Setup.
And highlighting the last point, if you do not mind that it is a development version, here are the steps we propose to install the latest version unstable branch Compiz on Ubuntu:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:unity/ppa
- sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
- sudo apt-get remove –purge compiz
- sudo apt-get autoremove –purge
- sudo apt-get clean
- sudo apt-get install compiz
And presto! Here's a new prescription.
