LibreOffice and Document Foundation




A group of developers of OpenOffice.org has announced creation of Document Foundation.

His intention is to carry out development of OpenOffice.org software project as a free and independent.

Oracle, which acquired rights to OpenOffice.org as a result of acquisition of Sun Microsystems, has been invited to serve on new foundation, and donate mark of community that has grown over past ten years.

Pending that decision, has been brand LibreOffice elgida for software in future.

Several organizations support project, these include Google, Novell, Canonical and Red Hat.

From now on, OpenOffice.org community is known as "Document Foundation."

LibreOffice is now in beta and has its own website Here.
