Four
months after the Debian version 9.5, the Debian project announces the release
of the stable version 6.0 Debian 9.6 "Stretch". In this version, 270
packages were updated with many updates and improvements. In addition to fixing
some security problems, those problems that Laura Arjona Reina described in the
official mailing list as serious problems.
For
those who have already installed "Debian" and want to update the
system they can simply give the following command from Terminal:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get full-upgrade
Knowing
that this version is still unstable
If you
want to install Debian from the beginning, new ISO with Xfce, Cinnamon, GNOME,
KDE, MATE and LXDE is available. You can download them from official mirrors.
Debian
10 "Buster" - a name taken from Andy's pet animator - will be
released in mid-2019.
