Canonical announced on 1 February the Unity interface 5.2 is available for testing on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS platform (Precise Pangolin).

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:unity-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Restart your session when you finish the upgrade process. Please note that does not support HUD, so you need to remove the HUD PPA of your system with ppa-purge before upgrading. Have a good session testing!
