Tip: Hide your name in the panel of Unity

A few weeks ago someone asked via twitter if you could delete the name Unity panel. I then said no, but I still left with the question, so I went looking and found an easy solution.

Just open the terminal and type

gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.session show-real-name-on-panel false

Then restart Unity to

unity - replace
