How to install Internet Explorer from Ubuntu

While Internet Explorer not the best browser in the world, let alone when it comes to its version number 6, in some development environments will need to be installed. Since it will require testing, Especially when our client is a large company which would cost a lot of money moving to a new version.

No matter what the reason, then leave them the easiest way I found to have IE6, IE7 or IE8 installed on Linux. In my case settled IE8 in Ubuntu 10.10, Being functional and uncomplicated. Let the steps:

First add the PPA Wine our repository:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
Then Wine install packages and winetricks
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install wine1.2 winetricks
They sent for winetricks saying we want to install IE6, 7 or 8
winetricks ie6
After installation, Explorer started running with Wine
wine iexplorer
Ready, in theory already have IE on your Linux distribution.
