How to change the background color of the Start screen of Windows Phone 7

Today we at LinuxTechCrunch we present a guide on how to change the color of "Start Screen" of your Windows Phone 7. The guide is composed of a few simple steps that can be executed by any user, regardless of his experience.
  • Open the registry editor and go to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEControlPanelThemes1 (1 is the dark theme, 0 to clear)
  • The key to change is PageBackgroundColor type String that has a default value of the string #FF000000, Which corresponds precisely to black.
  • Now you should change the value of the black with the color you want to apply as background.
To complete the work you can also change the color of the status bar (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEControlPanelThemes1). The key change this time is SysTrayBackgroundColor, always of String.
