Picapy, an application to access to Picasa from Ubuntu

In short we could say that Picapy is an alternative to Picasa Web Albums for those seeking only a soft able to access, upload and download these files to the web, as well as browse and create albums and access the image information .

Has just released version 1.7.1 that includes the ability to access the URL of the image and thumbnail URL, embedded in the actions dialog box image information and contextual menu.

Installing Picapy:

Ubuntu is very simple:

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lorenzo-carbonell/atareao
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install picapy
Once installed you access to it from Applications> Internet> Picapy.
