This is release of Linux Mint Debian Edition, a new division, now based on Debian.

According to announcement of Linux Mint team, promises to be faster and more sensitive and be less dependent on primary components.

Perhaps a little harder to use than other issues, rely on getting better this too, since it is a very young version.

LMDE also represents an alternative with same desktop, same functionality, but a different base, and a difference in hardware support and compatibility.

It will be a stylish, modern operating system, but still provide options so that every one can install what you like through software manager.

They will also maintain editions of alternative desktops such as KDE, Xfce, Fluxbox and LXDE.
