Lightspark 0.4.2 has been released


The modern version 0.4.2 of Flash Player open source, Lightspark, has been officially released.

Highlights of this update are:
  • Use of Fontconfig to select source.
  • Great support for videos from YouTube.
  • Synchronization of sound.
  • Support Chrome and Chromium.
  • Support for Firefox OOPP.
If you are using a newer version of Firefox 3.6.4 that you can activate chemical Lightspark.A OOPP for you to read instructions.

Packages for Ubuntu 10.04 and
Debian are provided by PPA, these are lines to add to your sources list
  • deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/sssup/sssup-ppa/ubuntu lucid main
  • deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/sssup/sssup-ppa/ubuntu lucid main
And fedora just have to type in console:
  • su -c 'rpm -ivh http://hicham.fedorapeople.org/lightspark/lightspark-release-0-1.noarch.rpm'
  • su -c 'yum install lightspark lightspark-mozilla-plugin'
