Linux: How to install Unity on Mint

Linux Mint 12, code-named Lisa, Is one of the distributions Ubuntu-based most used of the moment: according to statistics is at present used almost the same Ubuntu!

Linux Mint Lisa comes with two different desktop environments: Gnome 3 Integrated with Mint Gnome Shell Extensions and Mate, A fork of Gnome 2.3.x. Some users asked me if it would be possible to install Unity on Linux Mint and ... the answer is yes, you can install Unity on Linux Mint Lisa without any problems and with very little effort.

Thinking for a moment it was almost logical way: on the other hand Linux Mint Lisa is derived from Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric, and shares with it is the software compatibility, is the same repository.

Which is why, for install Unity on Linux Mint 12, Is sufficient open a terminal, And type:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unity
Now, to use the new desktop environment, simply restart the system and select, from the login screen, the "Ubuntu".
