Windows Mobile: How to add new search engines to Windows Phone 7 Mango


The staff of LinuxTechCrunch offers another guide concerning the world Windows Mobile, With which you can update the list browser for your Windows Phone 7 Mango and have the chance to surf with a Celtic wider web browser.

If you own an LG Optimus 7, just enter the menu MFG to access the registry editor, otherwise you can download WP7RootTools, Developed by Heathcliff74.
Now, to add a new favorite search engine, browse until you reach the folder SearchProviders:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerSearchProviders
Add, as in the image below, a new key with the name of the provider concerned (in this case, Google). Navigate to the new folder and create a new value (string), URL ,Where you are going to enter the url of the default search provider, just like in the screen below:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=it&q={searchTerms}


Without this, you're done, now you just open Internet Explorer and go to Settings, where you will find a new option, as in the screen at top of this article, call Default search engine, Which will allow you to change your search engine to Bing, in this case, Google.
