Unity: how to clear the history and manage the privacy through the Activity Log Manager


Have you downloaded any files indiscreet, visited websites, or have had special access to some private document that you would not want to appear in the history of Unity? You should know that Zeitgeist, A service that comes pre-installed in Ubuntu, it records all activities such as access to files, websites visited, etc. and that is why we see them appear in Dash of Unity.

Activity Log Manager Zeitgeist is a graphical interface that allows you to gain full control of the information recorded by the Zeitgeist. It allows the creation of blacklists depending on file type, disable any records/logs of applications and user activities and, of course, erase the recent history. All this will ensure that your personal information will be checked in full and your privacy is guaranteed.

For install Activity Log Manager Zeitgeist on Ubuntu you just open the terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zeitgeist/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
zeitgeist-daemon –replace
sudo apt-get install activity-log-manager
