10 Major Differences Between the Nokia N8 and N9



I have an interesting comparison published between N8 and N9 Spectacular is the left so then I hope you like, here goes:

1. Screen

The Nokia N8 has a capacitive touch screen that measures 3.5 inches while the Nokia N9 has an additional 4 inches to 3.9.

2. Resolution

Screen resolution to the N8 is at 360 x 640 pixels, while the Nokia N9 has increased to 480 x 854

3. Size

The N9 is thinner than the N8. The dimensions of the two phones like this:

N8 – 113.5 (L) x 59.1 (W) x 12.9 (D) mm

N9 – 116.5 (L) x 61.2 (W) x 12.1 (D) mm

4. Sound

While both phones are compatible with a 3.5mm jack, the Nokia N9 can boast the world's first smart phone with Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Headphone technology post-processing.

5. Camera

The N9 is the winning formula that made the Nokia N8 stand out as a camera phone. The changes are apparent, although the N9 is an camera 8 megapixel with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and flash LED dual front to the 12MP camera of N8 with Xenon flash. (The N8 wins here only in regard to flash)

6. CPU

While the N8 is running on ARM a 680MHz 11 processor of the N9 Nokia has more punching power running at 1 GHz Cortex A8 CPU - what you can expect a smoother experience.

7. Operating System

The communique of the N8 supports the Symbian ^ 3 operating system. The Nokia N9 drain MeeGo v1.2 Harmattan

8. Slide

The N8 operates from three customizable home screens that give the possibility to use up to 18 players possible and arrange them as you see fit. The N9 features a 'swipe' in home system of viewpoints. These are three views that help to keep things simple. They are divided between:

9. NFC

The Nokia N9 comes pre-loaded with the NFC technology That if you have not already seen, it works like magic with the new Nokia 360 Play, with just a touch to sync.

10. Buttons

The N8 has a button on the bottom left corner, which functions as a 'Start' button. The N9 has no buttons! It is the first full touch screen phone.
