3 alternatives if you do not like Unity

Unity is the new interface for Ubuntu 11.04, is a different interface to the classic that were 2 panels, without the classic menu Applications/Places/System. The interface can be liked by many, many others do not. In general I think that it costs them more to novices, the newcomers to Linux and almost always land on Ubuntu ,Is something completely different to what I came looking in windows (they are all equal in the interface).

You have to keep in mind that Unity leaves out those who do not have graphics accelerator board.

For those who do not like unity have 3 choices:

Ubuntu classic
In the login screen to choose the option "classic Ubuntu" so that will have an interface known as the all previous ubuntus.

Unity 2D
Option for those who want to try Unity but do not have hardware accelerated graphics.

First install it:
sudo apt-get unity-2d
Then choose to start Unity 2d session

Install Gnome 3
Gnome 3 is in my opinion much more beautiful and elegant in appearance. Although the level of development and correction of bugs still lacks a bit. But still is a valid alternative, is installed via PPA with these lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install gnome-shell
Please note that after installing gnome 3 no longer able to use Unity.
